“No one comes to the Father except through Me.”
John 14:6
The Holy Spirit spoke to me last night about understanding this spiritual truth like a court trial where a Christian is sentenced by God and then pardoned by Jesus. Think of Jesus as an appellate court where you can find freedom.
Unfortunately, no one is acceptable to God in your inner nature at birth. All believers are contaminated with sin and are rejected by God.
The Bible instructs believers sin entered the world through one man (Adam) and leads to death for all humanity.
We are all stuck with a big challenge because of our genetic disposition at birth.
The safety net is the blood of Christ. We are forgiven and made clean by the work of Jesus on the Cross.
But this sticky mess never leaves a believer while living on the earth.
We require prayer, reading the Bible, and listening for the voice of Jesus to abide in oneness with Him. We live by faith believing in the promises of Jesus and not what we see with our eyes.
God gave all believers a precious gift when He went to Heaven. He sealed every Christian with the Holy Spirit who is the life of Jesus.
The Holy Spirit is how a believer can stay aligned with Jesus. Submit to the authority of the Holy Spirit and ask him to govern your thinking patterns and decision making.
Jesus has set you free!
