“Does a spring send forth fresh water and bitter from the same opening?” James 3:11

This instruction in James affects every Christian. We all speak both kind and defaming words. Jesus desires for our words to be a fountain of purity but we fail Him time and again. We curse men who have been made in the image of God.

The solution is to pray each day for Jesus to fill your words with the fruit of the Spirit.

The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. 

This discipline will keep your words pure and prevent a believer from reacting to unkind words spoken to him or troubles that come his way.

Stay tuned into the Holy Spirit and give Him authority over your words and decision making.

This will bring the order and simplicity of Jesus into your life even when facing difficult challenges.

Pray each day to be a powerful witness for Jesus with all those whom you encounter!
