“For in Him we live and move and have our being”
Acts 17:28
Walking with Jesus is a radical decision to live for Him above all else. We sever our ties with the world and live through the Spirit of God. As a Christ follower, we live in the world but we are not of the world.
This relationship cannot cannot be achieved by intellect or seeking religion.
We have to be a new creature in Christ seeking the good, acceptable and perfect will of God.
We live with Jesus by submitting to the authority of the Holy Spirit. He is the life of Jesus and sealed in all believers.
Commit your works each day to Jesus and pray for His thoughts to be established in your mind. The believer has the mind of Christ and has the spiritual gift to be in a consistent dialogue with Jesus.
We move by praying for the omniscient wisdom of Jesus and walking aligned with the Holy Spirit.
We become Christ centered by praying vigilantly, reading the Bible, and listening for the voice of Jesus.
Jesus desires to have a deep and personal relationship with a believer built on faith and obedience.
He despises religion which attempts to control a believer through keeping laws, doing works and abiding in regulations.
Jesus asks believers to be obedient to His instructions regardless of the personal cost or lack of logic. This loyalty is how a believer can be anointed with the power and presence of Jesus in all the moments of life.
Jesus has to be taken seriously and be the navigator of our footsteps and the source of decision making. He rewards believers who have unyielding faith and believe in the promises of Jesus and not what they see with their eyes.
But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
