The futility of an empty mind or filled with thoughts of Jesus!

“Commit your works to the Lord, And your thoughts will be established.” Proverbs 16:3

This is about how you can function with the mind of Christ and seek His wisdom, goodness and protection. Jesus desires to bring order and simplicity into your life and help you avoid the evil intentions of Satan.

The thoughts of the mind of a natural man from his birth are void of Jesus and are self seeking. There is no protection or counsel from God. The natural man is consumed with fulfilling His own desires. He is an ego driven person.

The world is the life of the natural man. He seeks the prosperity and wisdom of the world. He defines his value by the standards of the world.

In contrast, Jesus instructs His people that the world is not your friend and will lead a Christian into misery and death. The Christ follower lives in the world but is not of the world. He belongs to Jesus.

The spiritual principle for hearing the voice of Jesus is to commit your works each day to Jesus and invite the Holy Spirit to have authority over your life.

This decision will cause the thoughts of Jesus to flow into your mind and guide your decision making.

This is how a Christian can be in a constant dialogue with Jesus seeking His good and acceptable will and omniscient wisdom.

The words of Jesus are like gold and they refine a believer into the character of Jesus. They convict a Christian of compulsive behaviors and impure motives.

The thoughts of Jesus are nourished by prayer and reading the Bible. The Word is alive and powerful and discerns the thoughts and intentions of the heart. It keeps a Christian on track with the Most High.

Start today with a conversation with Jesus. He has precious and valuable counsel to share with you.
