“For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” Ephesians 2:10
The beautiful hand crafted work of Jesus transforms a non believer into a a new creature in Christ. This happens because of the sacrifice of Jesus on the Cross.
Jesus came to the earth to do good works. He was a powerful light for God. We are to emulate Jesus in doing good works which God prepared before we were born.
Good works begin by making a decision to live for Jesus above all else. “Not my will but Yours be done.”
Jesus desires for a believer to have a personal and embracing relationship with Him built on faith and obedience.
Jesus despises religion which is corrupt and self centered.
Religion demands keeping laws, doing works and meeting obligations. Jesus wiped these out on the Cross. A Christian gives all to Jesus and holds nothing back!
Good works are inspired by prayer, reading the Bible and listening for the voice of Jesus.
We do the works of Jesus through the Holy Spirit. He is the life of Christ and sealed in every believer. This is initiated by submitting to His authority and inviting the Spirit to direct a believer into the good works of Jesus.
The good works have to be void of ego, religion and self interests. This turns people off!
The authenticity of the Living Christ saves life and does powerful works.
