“Do not let your adornment be merely outward arranging the hair, wearing gold, or putting on fine apparel rather let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the incorruptible beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God.”
1 Peter 3-5
The Holy Spirit brought up this subject last night. This is not just about women. You guys like to look cool too!
We all spend a lot of money and time to create an attractive appearance while Jesus desires a believer to focus on becoming a vibrant light for Him.
Jesus gives a powerful anointing to a Christ follower who is dedicated to live for Him above all else.
Jesus equips believers with the gifts and fruit of the Spirit. The “born again” Christian becomes a river of Living Water touching those people in his life. They see Jesus not a physical appearance.
Spiritual adornment comes through prayer, reading the Bible and listening for the voice of Jesus.
The Holy Spirit is alive in every believer. He is the life of Jesus.
We must submit to the authority of the Spirit and invite Him to guide our thoughts and decision making.
Remember, a believer is a new creature in Christ Jesus and He desires to transform His people into a powerful light in the world!
