“The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately sick; who can understand it?” Jeremiah 17:9
The Holy Spirit spoke to me today about the heart. We do not make decisions from the heart: we make them from the words of Jesus.
The human heart will mislead a believer. It is corrupt and desires to defy God and delight the desires of the flesh.
The human being is born with an inner nature that is not of God. Jesus gives Christians glimpses of their inner nature but He sees the depth of your human core.
We have to live under the authority of the Holy Spirit and invite Him to guide our thoughts and decision making.
The Holy Spirit is sealed in all believers and is the life of Jesus. He is your safety net in living a life pleasing to Jesus.
The Christ follower has the mind of Jesus. He desires to have a consistent dialogue with a believer. We must listen and obey the voice of Jesus.
The believer can stay aligned with Jesus by seeking His good, acceptable and perfect will through prayer, reading the Bible and committing his works each day to God.
For in Him we live and move and have our being!
