
For as the sash clings to the waist of a man, so I have caused the whole house of Israel and the whole house of Judah to cling to Me,’ says the Lord, ‘that they may become My people, for renown, for praise, and for glory; but they would not hear.’ Jeremiah 13:11
The Israelites were favored by God through Abraham. He was called by God to be the seed (or catalyst) to draw people to the Most High.
The Christ follower is a “set apart” believer to be filled with renown, praise and glory of God but many fail because they will not listen to the voice of Jesus.
The decision for Jesus gives a believer the mind of Christ. Jesus desires to have a consistent dialogue with a believer and guide him in seeking the perfect will of God.
If a believer meanders through life on his own he will miss out on the fullness of Jesus and experience many troubles.
Listening for Jesus is simple. Submit to the authority of the Holy Spirit and ask Him to guide your thoughts and actions. The Spirit of God will amaze you with His omniscient wisdom and protection.
The Living Christ desires to have a personal and embracing relationship with a believer built on faith and obedience. He wants obedience to His instructions and despises religion.
Jesus is very accessible and can be found through prayer, reading the Bible and listening for His voice.
Before Abraham was Jesus!
