Then the Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron, “Because you did not believe Me, to hallow (honor with holy or sacred respect) Me in the eyes of the children of Israel, therefore you shall not bring this assembly into the land which I have given them.” Numbers 20:12

Good Morning,

We all get angry at times over the actions of God and strike out at Him with our words. This story is about the Israelites who had no water to drink for the people or their animals. 

God told Moses to speak to a rock and water would flow abundantly out for the Israelites. 

The Israelites grumbled and complained about the lack of water. Moses got mad and struck the rock twice. The water flowed abundantly out of the rock but God told Moses he and Aaron had disobeyed Him and would be punished by not entering the Promised Land.

This was a radical decision by God but the spiritual principle is unchecked anger will get a believer into trouble with God. We can get mad at Jesus but we have to let go and not disparage Him with our words.

We have to ask Jesus to forgiveness us for our anger and pray for the Holy Spirit to fill us with peace and respect for Jesus regardless of the conditions in our life. 

If you are a believer Jesus can do with you as He pleases. He controls your destiny. We live by “Not my will but Yours be done.”
