“Where your fathers tested Me, tried Me, And saw My works forty years.” Hebrews 3:9

The most important spiritual principle in the Bible is to walk with Jesus by faith regardless of the conditions in your life. Without faith you cannot please God.

The scripture above is dealing with the Israelites after they were delivered out of slavery in Egypt by God. They witnessed the power of Jesus who performed many miracles to release them from tyranny. 

God had a perfect plan to give the Israelites a sanctuary in the Promised Land. They rebelled over living in the desert and depending on the skimpy goodness of God. 

They were instructed to send a team of men into the Promised Land to check out their new home. They were intimidated by the enemy and wanted nothing to do with this gift from God. 

This made God very angry and all the Israelite adults died in the desert.

The lesson for Christ followers is we must walk by steadfast faith and trust in the promises of Jesus and not what we see with our eyes.

God asks His people to do heroic things that seem impossible for a human being. We are to be obedient to the instructions of Jesus without any logic or reality. 

Jesus measures our faith dealing with difficult challenges and troubles.  The winners walk by faith and are delivered by Jesus. 

No Christian wants to go into a cave with hungry lions but Jesus can save you!
