Jesus teaches moderation and balance in life!

All things are lawful for me, but all things are not helpful. All things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any.” 1 Corinthians 6:12

The Holy Spirt spoke to me today about the importance of moderation to stay balanced with Jesus.

We go to extremes because we allow the desires of the flesh to influence our decision making. Christians get into trouble by operating outside of the will of Jesus.

Seek the good, acceptable and perfect will of Jesus each day by committing your works to the Most High and living under the authority of the Holy Spirit.

The goal is for a believer is to experience the order and simplicity of Jesus. We are not to make hasty or compulsive decisions but submit to the perfect wisdom of Jesus.

The sacrifice of Jesus on the Cross broke all the rules and set believers free from laws. But we must exercise spiritual discipline and moderation in our decisions.

The perfect harmony of Jesus comes to those who submit to the authority of the Holy Spirit and are open to His conviction and guidance.

The Bible teaches there is a way that seems right to a man but will lead to destruction. This is why we must inquire of the Lord for His perfect wisdom and not get emotions entangled in our decisions.

Moderation comes through prayer, reading the Bible and listening for the voice of Jesus. Make this a priority in your life!
