“Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.”

1 Corinthians 6:19-20

I can personally relate to this spiritual truth as God kept me awake all night with no explanation. I complained and Jesus said your life is no longer your own and I can do with you as I please. 

The decision for Jesus fills your body with the Holy Spirit. He is the life of Jesus and paid a dearly price for your salvation. 

The transformation into a new creature in Christ causes a believer to die to self and live for Jesus. Most Christians do not take this seriously and split their time between God and worldly living.

We honor God with our bodies by seeking the good, acceptable and perfect will of Jesus for our life.

We find His will through prayer, reading the Bible and listening for His voice. 

Jesus has a perfect plan for your life but tends to reveal just a few glimpses and asks a believer to walk by faith believing in the promises of Jesus and not what he sees with his eyes. 

The future seems blurry for the mature Christian as we have to live one day at a time with little direction. My wife and I are facing some important decisions but God says I will provide in My perfect timing. This is very unsettling like wearing blinders.

Jesus owns your life and promises to give a believer more than he asks or thinks. 

The spiritual truth is to live by “Not my will but Yours be done”. Jesus is perfect and knows exactly what He is doing!
