Waiting on God can seem like forever and many Christians lose faith and forget the promises of Jesus. They become distressed and feel abandoned.

Jesus promises He will deliver Christians in His perfect timing. 

Abraham was seventy years of age when God called him to leave His homeland and travel on a trip without a destination. 

Abraham was promised a son and Sarah, his wife, grew impatient and arranged for Abraham to have a baby through Hagar, a servant. Finally, Sarah had a baby boy named Isaac. Abraham was 100 and Sarah was 90 when Isaac was born.

Moses tended sheep for forty years waiting upon God. He met Jesus at a burning bush and was instructed to go to Egypt to save His people. 

Job had everything taken away by God and suffered for many years. He was finally delivered and God gave him twice as much as he had before.

The promises of Jesus come in the land of the living.  One day is like a thousand years with Jesus. He does not operate on a human timeline. 

Jesus has a purpose for a Christian and it may take several years to be transformed into the character of Jesus.

We are instructed to wait patiently for Jesus walking by faith in oneness with Him. Jesus keeps His promises!
