“Because it has been given to you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it has not been given. Matthew 13:11
This is about deciding for the Living Christ or accepting the weaker version of religion. It is possible to have the reality of Jesus in every moment of life. He lives so you can live!
The apostles asked Jesus why He speaks in parables which seem confusing and difficult to understand. Jesus implied this is because most people have a dense brain and cannot understand the kingdom of God. They need a simple story to illustrate spiritual truth.
Jesus responded that he who believes in the Lord and worships Him in Spirit and Truth can understand the deep truths of God.
Jesus goes on to say whoever has Jesus more will be given to him and he who does not have Jesus everything will be taken away.
This is not about the treasures of life but the wealth and value of Jesus. The world is temporary; Jesus is forever.
This explains our world today. We live in the End Times and Satan controls the world.
Christianity does not present a compelling story to attract believers. They are stuck on laws, works and regulations. This turns most people off.
Most unbelievers are blinded to understanding the value of Jesus just like in the days when Jesus lived on the earth.
Many who followed Jesus then did not want the gift of salvation. They wanted the security and treasures of life provided by Jesus. They witnessed a miracle of 5,000 people dine on two fish and five loaves of bread. This is why they wanted Jesus.
The Christ follower is a different character. He comes to Jesus to receive a new life and be free of the bondage of sin.
He makes a decision to die to self and live for Jesus.
He develops a personal and symbolic relationship with Jesus built on faith and obedience. The most important goal is to seek the perfect will of Jesus for His life.
He understands the priority is to seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and he knows all the needs of life will follow.
If you want Jesus it must be on His terms!
