“Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.”

I Corinthians 6:19-20

The decision for Jesus transfers your ownership over to Him. The believer is no longer able to control his life and have entitlement to his rights. The rights belongs to Jesus and He controls your destiny.

If you fight to keep ownership the believer will be overwhelmed with troubles as Jesus works to get your attention.

Things are not status quo (life as usual) for a Christian. All things become new and the old is not unacceptable to Jesus.

Think about it this way. Your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit whom you have received as a gift from Jesus. You are no longer alone and are now owned by Jesus. He paid for your rights with His blood.

We are instructed to honor Jesus with our bodies and be holy and acceptable in our thoughts and actions. 

How does this work out in real life? We are to seek the perfect will of God through prayer, reading the Bible and listening for the voice of Jesus. But this is not enough!

We must submit to the authority of the Holy Spirit who is sealed in all believers. He is the life of Jesus. He will bring the reality and presence of Jesus into all the moments of life.

It is impossible to walk in oneness with Jesus unless you are in contact and alive with the Holy Spirit. He speaks for Jesus and will keep you on track with His perfect will.

The beauty of Jesus is to wake up each day in His presence, hear His voice and live in His order and simplicity. 

Jesus is very accessible and desires to have a personal and symbiotic relationship with a believer built on faith and obedience.
