“There remains, then, a Sabbath-rest for the people of God; for anyone who enters God’s rest also rests from their works, just as God did from his.” Hebrews 4:9-10
God created the world and every living being in six days and He rested on the seventh day.
This spiritual principle will change your mindset, work pace, and bring order and simplicity to your life. It is contrary to the wisdom of the world. Resting is how you can unload all your burdens and worries.
We are instructed to enter His rest and cease from works or striving.
Jesus died so you can enter into the rest of the Cross. He submitted to His Father and won a victory for every believer. It is not by might nor by strength but by My Spirit. This is how we walk with Jesus.
Resting is acknowledging who Jesus is and drawing upon His attributes to be productive and achieve our goals.
Resting in not sitting idly; it is abiding in Jesus through prayer, reading the Bible, and listening for His voice.
Resting is recognizing the Holy Spirit lives in you and He is the life of Jesus.
We rest and submit to the authority of the Holy Spirit. He provides wisdom, strength and protection. We stand still and see the salvation of the Lord at work.
Religion pushes works, laws and regulations. Jesus died to shatter them.
Jesus pushes developing a personal and symbiotic relationship with Him built on faith and obedience.
Resting is an act of faith and pleases Jesus! Commit your works each day to God and walk in oneness with Him anchored to the Holy Spirit.
Resting is casting your burdens upon the shoulders of Jesus and taking a deep breath of relief and freedom.
