“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom” Psalm 111:10

This spiritual principle will not make any sense to a Christian until he meets the Living Christ.

The Christian who personally experiences the terrifying fear of Jesus will never doubt the efficacy of the Most High. He knows in his heart Jesus can destroy an enemy nation in a split second.

The Israelites were camped near Mount Sinai and God was on the top of the mountain. There was thunder, lightning and a loud horn.

God spoke to the Israelites from Mount Sinai. He said “Now then, if you will obey My voice and keep My covenant you will belong to Me from among all nations. For all the earth is Mine.” 

The Israelites were terrified of God and would not go near the mountain. They told Moses we will listen to you but not go near the mountain.

They experienced the mighty fear of God from a distance and developed a deep respect for Him. Unfortunately, they could not keep the instructions of God and all perished in the desert.

This powerful promise made to the Israelites can belong to any believer. We must obey the voice of Jesus and live under the authority of the Holy Spirit in our life. 

We must vigilantly seek the perfect will of Jesus through prayer, reading the Bible and listening for His voice.

We fear Jesus knowing our life is in His hands and He controls our destiny. We deeply respect His perfect wisdom for our life!
