Striking back when attacked or letting Jesus fight your battles!

Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to wrath; for it is written, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,” says the Lord. Romans 12:19

The Holy Spirit spoke the Bible verse above to me this morning about perfect justice when a person is attacked or injured.

We all suffer attacks and get injured by the actions of others. Many times, this is the work of Satan to destroy a believer.

The human tendency is to get revenge driven by feelings of anger and hurt.

This is your inner nature from birth desiring to repay the enemy with your version of justice.

This will usually only make the situation worse and bring more evil upon the offended individual.

God instructs believers not to seek revenge but to allow Jesus to bring His justice which is perfect, timely and righteous.

Jesus rules according to His Word and without emotions or bias. He sees the personalities and motives of both parties in dealing with justice through His unconditional love.

We have to forgive the offender and pray for inner healing from unhealthy emotions.

There is a deep peace from Jesus that falls on the offended when they release the evil conflict to Jesus. They are vindicated and healed by the blood of Jesus.

We are to be peace makers in all our interactions with others. This is the unconditional love of Jesus!
